  • Declaration of Purpose -  

 A legitimate Militia pursuant to the ends of Amendment 2 of the United States Constitution, shall preserve the life, liberty and property of all law - abiding citizens within its area through the preparation, training and support of lawful citizens' group outside the jurisdiction of government.

 To better aid the defense of liberty, Texas State Militia shall train citizens within a well regulated organization dedicated to upholding our natural and inalienable rights and the constitution of the State Of Texas.

 

 

 

 

   Who we are -

 We are your neighbors, friends, co- workers and family members. We are committed to assist and defend our community, state and union. We are freedom loving patriots dedicated to training and preparation. We are citizens, retired/active law enforcement, fire and military veterans. We are the organized militia under the U.S./ Texas Constitutions and U.S. code that we are sworn to defend and uphold.

 

 

 

 

  Who we are not - 
 - We are NOT vigilantes, radicals or fringe group. 
 - We are NOT rebels, insurgents or racists. 
  (We have an extensive screening and background process which we actively utilize to prevent such elements from joining our ranks.)

 Our Organization is capable of supporting Local and State Law Enforcement Agencies to help keep the Peace & Maintain the Rule Of Law during Emergencies.
 
 Hurricanes and tornadoes can be very destructive to our local communities. It Is Our Goal To Assist In Any Situation That May Happen, From Security to Distribution of Relief Supplies (food, water, medical aid, and shelter), Clearing Road Ways for Emergency Vehicles, Search & Rescue. 

We Also Believe in Giving Back To The Community, Making Food & Toy Drives, Assisting Veterans with minor home repairs, yard work, and Replacement of warn out flags.

 Jurisdiction:

  Pursuant to 10 United States Code chapter 13, all citizens not counted as members of the armed forces, or otherwise exempt, or barred by law from military service are members of the unorganized militia. The unorganized militia may be called to service by the governor of the State of Texas to aide state authorities in the lawful execution of their duties, or by general consensus of the population should the state fail in the execution of its constitutional duties.

 

 

Requirements:

  All citizens are eligible for enlisted service in Texas State Militia. Candidates must have no serious criminal background, be of sound mind and body, and able to participate and learn the duties of enlisted militia personnel. No prior experience is required however recruits must be able to attend training and willing to learn basic infantry skills. Recruits need no gear, however they must be willing to acquire minimal items to facilitate their service in Texas State Militia.

 

Responsibilities:

  Unless otherwise specified, recruits will enter Texas State Militia at the rank of Private, eligible for promotion to the rank of Sergeant after completing Advanced Training Level 2. Candidates eligible for immediate placement in a team leader position will be evaluated by company commanders on a case by case basis if prior military or other service exceeds the standards of Militia Basic Training. Militia enlisted personnel will be responsible for furnishing their own food, gear, ammunition and other necessary materials for training and deployments, however this may be pursued as finances permit after the recruit has joined Texas State Militia. A minimum attendance of meetings and trainings will be required to maintain membership as well as a continuous pursuit of learning basic soldier skills.
